Description:

On the Sunday before His Crucifixion, Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey to the wild cheers of a large crowd heralding Him as the Messiah. But before the week was out, many of the same people would cry "Crucify Him" and send Him to the Cross. We might well ask the question: "What is so 'triumphal' about the 'Triumphal Entry'?" In this Palm Sunday message we will attempt to answer that question by viewing the event symbolically as a "living parable". By tracing the concept of the Triumphal Entry through both the Old and the New Testaments, we will find it is not isolated to this one event. But rather, that the idea of this triumph is woven through Scripture including the prophets of old, the Nativity story, the Crucifixion, and the Second Coming of Christ. Ultimately we will rejoice and join in the chorus of "Hosanna!", as we watch our King bring peace to the souls of believers and establish a Kingdom of Peace that will reign forever.
